Read moreDKIM Record (Domain Keys Identified Mail) is Cryptographic Key or a combination of Public and private Key which is sent with every outbound emails. The recipient server check for DKIM signatures for every email received.
DKIM needs to be enabled for every genuine SMTP source and the keys should be published in Domain’s DNS as a TXT Record. In case we are using different SMTP sources like Microsoft O365, Google Workspace, AWS, SAP or SalesForce then DKIM needs to be enabled and added for all of them.
DKIM also plays a crucial part in Email Auto forwarding. During auto forwarding DKIM signatures get preserved making email land in Inbox of the final recipient server. During auto forwarding SPF record breaks making DKIM a critical protocol to be enabled.
DKIM DMARC and SPF when combined together makes email authentication 100% compliance and genuine.
